2011 Certification

• Agents Save $ Certifying with UHC
• Certification through AHIP is $150.  BUT, it is only $100 for agents who go through UHC's process with AHIP.  You have to go through UHC's process to get the $50.00 discount.

UnitedHealthcare's 2011 Early Certification Program runs August 2, 2010 through August 31, 2010.

• Program qualification requires completion of the following six (6) courses (including applicable exams).
• Medicare Basics
• Ethics & Consumer Sensitivity
• Before the Sale
• AARP 101
• Medicare Advantage Plans (HMO, PPO, POS)
• Part D
• Agents will need to complete 2011 coursework for ANY additional product you plan to sell and receive commissions on -- such as: Private Fee For Service, Special Needs Plans, etc.

2011 AHIP Certification

UnitedHealthcare Medicare Solutions is accepting America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) certification and AHIP re-certification in place of 2011 Medicare Basics, 2011 Medicare Advantage Plans and 2011 Medicare Part D Plans (PDP). UnitedHealthcare will accept either AHIP certification or recertification. If you are a returning AHIP user, your AHIP account will direct you to the proper recertification modules.

If you choose to certify via AHIP, you must complete the 2011 AHIP Certification before any other UnitedHealthcare 2011 Certification modules. Failure to do so will result in AHIP score rejection.

To begin your 2011 UnitedHealthcare Medicare Solutions certification using AHIP, complete the following steps:

• Login to www.unitedhealthproducers.com
• Click "Learning Center"
• Click "2011 AHIP" on your Development Plan
• Click "Launch Course"
• Sign on with your AHIP ID and password OR register if you are a new AHIP user
• Complete the assigned modules
• Returning AHIP users will be assigned the recertification modules (2 modules)
• New AHIP users will be assigned the full certification modules (5 modules)
• Pass each module in three or fewer attempts with a score of 85% or better
• At the end of the test, go to the home page - Click "Transcript"
• Click "Send scores to UnitedHealth Group"
• Read the Pledge of Compliance
• Click "I comply" if you agree
• After the Pledge of Compliance is complete, your Development Plan will show up
• You should see 2011 AHIP, 2011 Medicare Basics, 2011 Medicare Advantage Plans, and 2011 Medicare Pard D Plans (PDP) marked as complete 

 If you were certified for 2010 Modernized AARP Medicare Supplement Plans you do not need to complete the 2011 Modernized AARP Medicare Supplement product module and test this year.

** - If you were certified for 2010 SecureHorizons Modernized Medicare Supplement Plans you do not need to complete the 2011 SecureHorizons Modernized Medicare Supplement product module and test this year.
