  • IMPORTANT NOTICE (Please Read)

    • There will be no new COMMISSIONS paid on NEW Medicare Advantage Enrollments into Any Coventry Freedom PFF or Advantra Savings Medical Savings Account (MSA) plans after July 2nd, 2009, regardless of effective date.  Renewal commissions will continue to be paid starting in the 13th month for all inforce PFFS business. 

    • All Coventry PFFS and MSA business will be NON-RENEWED on 1/1/2010, so therefore, there will be no renewal commissions paid starting 1/1/2010.

       

  • January 2009 Update on Commission Adjustments (Click)

  • Coventry's 2009 Medicare Advantage Commission Adjustment

    • Coventry will need to adjust 2009 commissions to account for CMS' latest guidance from December 24th, 2008

    • Coventry expects final approval by the end of January 2009

    • 2009 Proposed commissions are available (Contact Ritter or your upline for details)

  • Coventry to RAISE renewal commissions on 2007, 2008 PFFS business

    • This will apply to all PFFS plans with the exception of Freedom 1 (or 1B if converted).

    • The increase will hit the commission statements in March, but will be retroactive to January.

    • The increase will vary depending on your level and whether the client has an MAPD or MA only Plan.

    • This program is limited to 2009 Calendar year only at this time.

  • NEW!  Coventry to Stop paying Commission on Freedom 1 (and Freedom 1B)

    • This will only affect the Freedom 1 and 1B PFFS plans.  This DOES NOT affect the other PFFS plans or any other Coventry product.

    • This change WILL NOT affect Freedom 1 and 1B business sold and received by Coventry PRIOR to 1/15/09.  ONLY future business will be impacted.

    • You will be receiving an ammendment to your contract.

  • Coventry Interim Payment

    • This will take effect while CMS is reviewing Coventry's 2009 Commission Schedule

    • Beginning on December 5th, 2008, Coventry will issue a WEEKLY PARTIAL commission payment of $170 for every clean MA-PD and PFFS app.

    • This will apply to all applications with 11/08, 12/08 and 1/09 effective dates.

    • Once CMS has issued formal approval for Coventry's 2009 commission schedule, they will issue the balance of any eligible unpaid commissions to make agents whole.

  • When Does Coventry Pay?

    • Commission for Private Fee for Service (Advantra Freedom), HMO/PPO/SNP, Medicare MSA and Part D (Advantra RX) are paid weekly.

  • Direct Deposit

    • Direct Deposit is not required, but is recommended for faster payment of commissions.

  • How Does Coventry Handle Internal Replacements?

  • Commission Advances

    • First year commissions for all products (Private Fee for Service, Part D and HMO/PPO) are advanced for the first year commission.  If the policy is in force for less than 90 days (for ANY reason), 100% of the commission is charged back (NONE is earned).  For Policies on the books for less than 12 months, see below for charge back rules.

  • Chargebacks for Advantra Freedom Products - (THIS WILL NEED TO BE REVISED TO COMPLY WITH MIPPA)

    • Plans with an effective date of 1/1/08 through 4/30/08 are handled DIFFERENTLY than 5/1/08 but prior to 12/31/08 2008 effectives!

    • Effective dates of 1/1/08 but prior to 4/30/08:  If Rapid Disenrollment period is within 2 months

      ----Voluntary disenrollment --- Full Chargeback

      ----Involuntary disenrollment --- Prorated Chargeback

      ----Disenrollment period  AFTER 2 months --- NO CHARGEBACK

    • Effective dates of 5/1/08 but prior to 12/31/08:  If Rapid Disenrollment period is within 2 months

      ----Voluntary disenrollment --- Full Chargeback

      ----Involuntary disenrollment --- Prorated Chargeback

      ----Disenrollment period AFTER 2 months --- Prorated Chargeback
